Bargain price, comfortable, and still going after about 1,000 miles. Here at $29.99.
My Take
My most recent pant purchases (last few years) have been these Outdoor Ventures Convertibles ($45.99), these Columbia Silver Ridge Cargo Pants ($45.00) and the product being reviewed - Wrangler ATG Hiking Pants ($29.99).
By a Mountain Mile, the Wranglers get the most use - I estimate over 1,000 miles walked in them, and still going strong. In fact, I only wear the others out of sympathy as they just sit on my shelf.
I tried these on at my local Target, and wasn't expecting much, but they fit like a glove, were extremely comfortable, looked good (not too hikey looking) and at the price I figured I couldn't go wrong.
The are extremely stretchable, they are durable (I have no tears or nicks in mine) they do not chafe, the pockets (including the side pocket) are functional and utilitarian, and they dry very quickly. They easily pass as a regular pair of pants.
Made of a spandex/nylon mix they are made to move with your movement, they have a soft waist padding, and they breathe well.
The only downside to mine have been some of the stitching has come loose on the back pockets, they come out of the dryer super crinkly, and the mesh front pockets can be difficult to get items out of as the pocket/mesh can catch on items.
