Gear Review: All One Tech Tent Pegs

Pretty darn tough for being so light! $9.99 here

At the price, I didn't have high hopes for these, but sure enough, they are still intact after 2 seasons and still going strong.

My Take

After bending pretty much all of my North Face Stormbreak 1 pegs, I needed a lightweight replacement and these most definitely fit the bill! Having used these for two seasons, and hammering them into hard California ground, these pegs are still going strong and have withstood several beatings. They stay put (in the right soil) and are durable. They come as the picture suggests, with a rope remover which sits just above an indented hook designed to hold your tent attachments in place. They are "Y" shaped to allow the least amount of friction when being placed in the soil. The bright orange color makes them easy to find when breaking down and the rope pull makes it easier to dislodge them. They are best placed in the ground at a 45 degree angle to make the tension more secure. They come with a small, light carry bag. They are surprisingly lightweight and make a great alternative to heavier stock pegs that tents often ship with. There are 12 pegs in total.
